Biography
How I Got Here
I was a full-time reporter and editor for 25 years for daily newspapers, web sites, magazines and just about everything else that had writing in it in Connecticut and Manhattan.
I'm well-upholstered in various Associated Press and UPI awards, but my proudest achievement was winning the International Association of Firefighters top prize for Outstanding News Story for my magazine piece that explored the aftermath of a chemical factory fire and the men whose lives were forever changed by it.
I've been a night city editor, an entertainment editor, feature writer, magazine writer and even covered the 1983 America's Cup in Newport, the year the longest winning streak in sports history was broken when Australia II beat the Liberty.
I've written detective novels, but the pandemic has given me a chance to go into romance, which I find much more joyful an experience than murder and darkness.
